As for Anonymous, I was going to erase your comment because it seems so negative but I suppose in life we all ways need negative people to remind us why we need unity.

New Orleans Unity
|
Traveling Mermaid's submission:
I chose my hand because it symbolizes all of the helping hands we've received here in New Orleans since "The Thing". In the beginning they came and did everything from search for survivors to rescuing abandoned pets to cooking and feeding victims...and lately, to gutting and rebuilding victim's homes and churches. It's so gratifying to know people really care and are so willing to give up their comfortable lives to come here and work their butts off to help us! They truly embodied the meaning of the word Unity.
Also this open hand of mine is extended in friendship and thanks to all those caring and hard-working volunteers. They have earned a star in their crown, as we say here!
And I chose to pose it in front of a fern because ferns are so New Orleans!Labels: New Orleans USA |

United for what? your idea sounds nice but everything must have a purpose, the United Nations have a purpose, etc. if you whant the ppl to be united first think of something that can unite them, some aim in common ,something real.
